DERMAL FILLERS

DERMAL FILLERS
Dermal fillers are a soft tissue layer injected into the lips to help contour and create volume as well as smooth away any lines or wrinkles, restoring a smoother appearance. These dermal fillers will gradually dissolve, as the body absorbs them. Over time the Hyaluronic acid that exists naturally in our body, begins to decline and results in visible signs of ageing, making your natural lines and wrinkles deepen, your lips lose their fullness, lines appear around the mouth and nose area and cheeks will start to lose volume, giving them a sunken appearance.
Dermal Fillers explained
At Azimzadeh Aesthetics, we offer full lip treatment, marionette lines, peri-oral lines, corners of mouth, nasal- labial lines, vermillion border of lips and glabella. Dermal filler is injected in the precise locations in your skin. After the treatment is applied, your nurse will massage the area ensuring a smooth finish. You can resume your normal activities immediately as the treatment is non-invasive so there’s no recovery time needed.
Are Dermal fillers right for me?
Dermal fillers might be right for you if:
-
Your face is looking tired due to lines, wrinkles or sunken cheeks that are making your face look tired.
-
Other well know injections aren't right for you as your lines and wrinkles are deep in appearance.
-
You don’t want to go as far as a facelift but you want to have smoother, younger looking skin that would make you more confident in your appearance.
Where are fillers used?
Dermal fillers can be applied on a variety of areas including cheeks hollows, nose to mouth (nasolabial fold), around the lips and mouth (periloral line), lips and mouth to chin lines.
How are fillers administered?
With a very fine needle, the dermal filler is injected into the skin beneath the wrinkle.
How long does it normally take?
Depending on the area/areas the procedure will typically take 30-40 minutes and is usually straight forward and quick to complete. You may return for another procedure once the results start to fade away.
How long does it last?
The results are immediate and usually last from 6-12 months but in some cases it may last longer.
Is the procedure painful?
Some clients may feel a mild discomfort. Around the sight of injection there may be a small about of swelling or bruising but this will usually subside significantly within 30 minutes or so and disappear completely within 48 hours.
How much does it cost?
We offer a range of filler treatments, please see our prices page for more details.
Will having fillers make me look like I’ve had work done?
The procedure relies on technique in the way it's delivered. You should still be able to show facial expressions. Make sure you are treated by a specialist who is licensed to perform cosmetic procedures, and you talk to the specialist to discuss your treatment. Here at Azimzadeh Aestheticx, we carry out consultation before the procedure. We are happy to answer any questions you may have and address any concerns.
What are the risks and side effects?
It is important that you understand the risks involved as every procedure involves a certain amount of risk. The majority of patients do not experience any complaints, our nurse will discuss them with you, to make sure you understand the risks, potential complications and consequences of dermal fillers. The most common side effects are pain, tenderness, bruising and swelling. This may last for several days but will usually subside in the first few hours after a session. Some fillers can produce lumps under the skin, which might be seen or felt, these usually settle within 1-2 weeks. Some lumps can be infected and need more complex treatment such as antibiotics. Allergic reactions are also rare but can occur.
